How do the fees work?Depending on the number of subjects, lessons are paid for in batches of 6,8, or 10. We don't tie our parents down to any contracts and so you simply pay as you go for the batches. Prices start from £35 and depend on if you’d like to go for 1-1 or Small Group options.
-
Is there a cancellation period? We ask for a minimum of 48 hrs cancellation notice in order to rearrange your lesson. If you have given us enough notice, you will not be charged for the lesson :)
-
Do you provide homework?Yes- homework is provided by us every week, and we also go through the answers with your child too! Homework allows our students to develop and practise the skills we’ve taught them, but it also introduces them to concepts of time management to ensure they are disciplined in the self independent act of finding time to do the homework and completing it
-
How do parents get feedback?Communication between us and our parents iss everything at SS Tuition! This is why you will receive regular feedback after the sessions about how your child is getting on, what they’ve done well, what they need to work on, tip and tricks to help you at home! You can choose to call, email or Whatsapp your tutor with any questions you may have outside of the lesson too!
-
Do you provide tests?Absolutely! After every unit your child will receive a test. Our tests and past papers are based on the exam board and we’ll go through every single incorrect answer to make sure their not making the same mistake and you’ll get updates based on these scores too to see how they make progress with us. It was really important to Ms Sindy when creating SS tuition, that we really helped students who were prepping for exams with the skills set and tools to navigate their way in an actual exam scenario. Teachers could spend hours and hours teaching a child a particular concept, but if we haven’t also spent hours coaching them about what the examiner is looking our for, wording in an exam, how to time themselves, how to get the max amount of mark- we would have been setting our students up for failure. So a big part of what we do are tests after every unit we complete, which are based on the exam board and we’ll go through this with them after each test- going through every single incorrect answer to make sure their not making the same mistake and you’ll get updates based on these scores too to see how they make progress with us.

How does the process work?Firstly get in contact with us by phone, whatsapp email or filling in our enquiry form and from there We set up an initial consultation and all initial consultation are held by myself Ms Sindy personally so she will discuss and design a learning programme focusing on your child’s specific targets to ensure they excel academically and develop all the non academic skills. After this, we set up a lesson and see how your child gets on. You then have an opportunity to discuss the first lesson with us and your child privately and decide if you’d like to continue, If you’re happy to continue you pay for the lessons in batches of 6/ 8/10. We dont tie our parents down to any contract, so you simply pay as you go for the batch of lessons. All the weekly homework, feedback, progress updates, test scores are provided by myself or your tutor.
