Our tuition fees start from £35 per lesson, depending on the subject and whether you choose a 1-to-1 or Small Group session. Lessons are paid for in flexible batches of 6, 8, or 10. There are no contracts - you simply pay as you go.
We ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson. If sufficient notice is given, you will not be charged for that session.
Yes - weekly homework is set after every session and our tutors go through the answers with your child. Homework helps students practise what they have learnt, develop independent study habits, and build time management skills.
You will receive regular written feedback after each session covering what your child has done well, areas to improve, and tips to support them at home. You can also contact your tutor directly via phone, email, or WhatsApp at any time.
Absolutely. After completing each unit, students receive an exam-board-specific test. We go through every incorrect answer to prevent repeated mistakes, and parents receive progress updates after each test.
Getting started is straightforward:
(1) Contact us by phone, WhatsApp, email, or enquiry form.
(2) We arrange an initial consultation with Mrs Sindy personally to design a tailored learning programme.
(3) After the first trial lesson, you have the opportunity to discuss progress privately.
(4) If you are happy to continue, you pay for lessons in batches of 6, 8, or 10 - no contracts.
Our sessions are delivered entirely online using a secure, interactive video platform. All you need is a device with internet access and a webcam. Our tutors are experienced in online delivery and create an engaging, distraction-free learning environment.
Yes. All SS Tuition tutors are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and are either qualified teachers or subject specialists with relevant degrees and extensive tutoring experience. You can read about each tutor's background on our Meet the Team page.(/team)
We offer online tutoring for students aged 7 to 18, covering KS2, KS3, GCSE, and A Level. We also provide 11+ preparation, homeschooling support, and Medical and Dental Entry coaching.
We offer specialist tutoring in Maths, English, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Economics, Humanities, and Sociology. We also provide dedicated 11+ preparation, online homeschooling, and Medical and Dental university entry coaching.
Absolutely. We understand that the tutor-student relationship is key to success. If at any point you feel a different tutor would be a better fit, please contact us and we will make the appropriate arrangements without any fuss.
Our tutors are trained to identify gaps in understanding and adapt their teaching pace accordingly. If your child needs additional support, their tutor will flag this during feedback and work with you to create an adjusted learning plan. We also offer more frequent sessions during exam preparation periods.
Yes - 11+ preparation is one of our specialist services. Our tutors cover Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths, and English to give your child the best chance of securing a place at their chosen grammar or independent school.
Most parents notice improved confidence and engagement within the first four to six sessions. Academic grade improvements typically become visible over a period of one to two school terms, depending on the student's starting point and how consistently they attend lessons and complete homework.
